Woolly Mammoth Pendant #1 – Sold $Sold
I carved this piece from mammoth tusk bark that was found in Siberian republic Sakha-Yakutia. More precisely in Allaikhovskiy ulus (region) where Indigirka river flows into the East-Siberian Sea (marginal sea in the Arctic Ocean).
This ivory has no cracks at all. This piece is not flat – was carved from the curved bark and this is definitely add value. The external layer of the bark is preserved, representing brown hair of woolly mammoth. The high quality bail allows to use up to 2mm cord. This is a best pendant from the whole set (I carved about 30 mammoths in a single firing run). This is a big mature alpha male woolly mammoth.
